36 architect teams from five countries wanted to compete to design the new district in Norway, and four teams were short-listed during prequalification, Futurebuilt writes. Dyrvik Arkitekter (Add arkitekter) and Transborder Studio won the final competition in partnership with SLA (landscape architects) and Bollinger + Grohmann.<\/p>\n

The winning entry proposes an urban grid plan along the circular Forneburingen road, with commercial shops on street level. Nansen Park will be a mix of city blocks and standalone high-rises. This will allow as many of the housing units as possible to have contact with the park, even as the transition between the park and the housing is made less rigid by the green spaces being allowed to seep into the built environment.<\/p>\n

The plan includes up to 600 housing units. Approximately 150 of the housing units will be built according to FutureBuilt criteria and must satisfy particularly stringent environmental requirements.<\/p>\n

The focus will be on eco-friendly solutions that use extremely little energy and leave as small a climate footprint as possible. Shared economy, green mobility, urban agriculture, home automation and communal solutions are all important issues in the project The plans also include retail and service space on street level.<\/p>\n

Both near-zero energy buildings and energy plus houses will be built, and the buildings will in total use 2 million kWh less energy per year than ordinary housing units. The energy savings equal the ordinary consumption of over 200 households.<\/p>\n

Add Architects<\/h2>\n

Felt 9.4 Nansenl\u00f8kka marks a new way of thinking at Fornebu: from Fornebulandet to Fornebybyen.<\/p>\n

In 2017, Obos, in collaboration with FutureBuilt, announced a competition with high sustainability goals. The purpose was to explore how the recently adopted Area Plan 3 for Fornebu, which included guidelines for creating a more urban character for the peninsula, could be implemented.<\/p>\n

Together with Transborder Studio, Bollinger and Grohmann, and SLA, we won the competition, which formed the foundation for the work on the zoning plan.<\/p>\n

\"Nansenlokka<\/p>\n

The main idea of the project is to create a central green urban space with a community house and cultivation areas, as well as organising the development into six city blocks.
\nThe degree of openness varies between the blocks depending on how they interact with Fornebu’s central park, Nansen Park.<\/p>\n

The residential environment is designed with a hierarchy of different communal areas and activities, with the central cultivation garden and a large community house as the heart of the plan.<\/p>\n
